"Your code works forever" is a big claim. Here is the honest version of how we back it - not with adjectives, but with the architecture.
Static codes are independent of us
A static QR code stores its data directly in the pattern. It needs no server and no account. Even if FairQR vanished tomorrow, every static code would keep working unchanged. That is why static codes are free and need no signup here.
Dynamic codes: 12 months' notice
Dynamic codes run through a short redirect address. If we ever discontinue the service, we announce it at least 12 months in advance - enough time to migrate calmly or reprint. We never switch anything off overnight.
Full export, any time
You can export all your redirects at any time - as CSV, JSON, ready-made .htaccess rules, or nginx / Caddy configuration. With that, you can run your codes on your own hosting if you ever need to. Export is available even on the free account - we never lock the exit.

Our step-by-step guide shows how to set up the export on classic shared hosting or your own server in about 15 minutes. Control stays with you, not with us.
What we do NOT promise
We are a small, independent product. We do not promise 100% uptime or eternity without any change. In rare cases outside our control - such as insolvency or the failure of an infrastructure provider - the 12-month notice period may be shortened. What we commit to is fairness: no subscription, no planned shutdown without warning, and always an open exit with your data. That is exactly what separates us from services whose business model relies on using printed codes as leverage.
